Start the booth
How do I start a guest photo booth?
Create an event, choose a style, add your text and open the guest booth. Check framing and host controls before handing over the device. Guests get a countdown and can retake the sequence. An unanswered result is saved automatically when the timer expires.
How does the booth work on Apple TV?
Apple TV has its own introduction and event setup. Connect a compatible iPhone or iPad through Continuity Camera for photography, then use the guest booth with a local host PIN. Optional hands-free features use local analysis. Private iCloud sync supports compatible events, templates and photos. TV storage is temporary; see the photo and sync guidance below.
Purchases and watermarks
What is free, and what do Basic and Plus unlock?
Both editors can be tried before purchase, including photography, saved templates and export with a standard watermark. Basic removes that watermark from classic designs with custom text and paper colour. Plus also removes it from library/custom designs and adds your own logo and watermark controls. Basic, Plus and the Basic-to-Plus upgrade are one-time purchases through Apple. Plus Upgrade is for Basic owners, not a third feature tier.
Why does a photo still have a watermark?
Basic does not remove the standard watermark from library templates or your own designs; these require Plus. Purchasing does not change finished photos or copies already saved to Apple Photos. If the originals are still available in One More, individual photos can be exported again using your current Basic or Plus access.
How do I restore a purchase?
Open the purchase screen in Settings and choose Restore purchases using the Apple Account that bought Basic or Plus. Check connectivity and allow verification to finish. TestFlight purchases do not transfer to the App Store edition. If access is still missing, contact us before buying again. Restoration does not recover your photos.
Styles and photos
How do I change the paper or background?
Open the selected style in its editor. The Basic editor offers text and paper colour. The Plus editor supports custom layouts, one to six photos, text, shapes, backgrounds and logos. Both editors can be tried free, with the relevant watermark limits.
Where are my individual photos?
Open a memory, choose an individual image, browse the sequence and export the image you want. Saving to Photos or Files creates a separate copy.
On Apple TV, local photos, originals and downloaded templates are temporary cache files. tvOS can remove them to free space. Check that important photos have synced to iCloud or been exported on another device; do not rely on permanent local TV storage.
How do I turn on Save to Photos?
On iPhone or iPad, open Settings → Save to Photos. Automatic copying is optional and off by default. Enabling it explicitly asks for full read/write access to Apple Photos to create and manage the “One More” album and check existing copies for duplicates. These checks are limited to that album; the app does not review the rest of your photo library. Manual one-off saving to Photos can instead use add-only permission.
Finished photos and individual originals are copied under the current export and watermark rules. Existing Photos copies are not edited or deleted, including after a purchase upgrade. Copying stops when the app becomes inactive, so keep One More open until completion is confirmed. Denying permission does not block normal photography or local saving. This setting is not available on Apple TV.
Are my photos safe if I remove the app?
The app’s local library, optional private iCloud sync and separate Apple Photos copies are different stores. iCloud sync is not an independent historical backup. Only successfully completed copies outside the app protect the photos if One More is uninstalled. The “One More” Photos album preserves those images, but does not automatically restore events, templates or the app’s library structure.
One More can recover locally after interruptions, but photos can still be lost. Keep local originals, confirm important exports or Photos copies have completed, and contact support before uninstalling the app or deleting its library as a troubleshooting step.
iCloud and deletion
How do I get iCloud sync working?
Open Settings → iCloud in One More on both devices. Use the same Apple Account, enable sync and check network access and iCloud storage. Keep the apps open while they sync. Sync includes supported events, templates and photos, but is not an independent historical backup. If it stalls, keep your local originals and contact support rather than deleting the library.
What is the difference between local deletion and deleting everywhere?
Local deletion removes a memory from this device, not necessarily iCloud. Synced content can return. With iCloud enabled, use the explicit delete-from-all-devices action for a memory and let sync finish. Other devices receive it when they sync. Deletion metadata remains to prevent the image returning. Copies in Apple Photos, exports, shared copies and backups are separate. Deleting in One More or iCloud does not delete a Photos copy.
Does deleting an event remove all its photos?
No. Finished memories retain their original names and files. Delete unwanted memories separately. Disabling sync or uninstalling the app does not erase the iCloud library. There is no separate Torvi Studio account to delete.
Host access and privacy
How do host access and camera permissions work?
Set up the guest booth before use and use the host lock to protect settings. Guest photo and style choices depend on the host configuration. On iPhone and iPad, Face ID/device passcode is handled by Apple. On Apple TV, a host PIN protects the host settings; its hash is stored locally. Camera, Photos and local network permissions can be changed in system Settings. Tell guests how their photos will be displayed and shared.
How do hands-free features and person detection work?
On iPhone and iPad, Settings → Beta contains the experimental hands-free controls. The main switch is on by default; person detection and the peace-sign trigger have separate settings, so this does not enable every automatic action. If the host enables person detection, the camera may stay active while the booth waits.
Hand gestures and person detection use Apple Vision locally. They do not identify people or send camera images to an external AI service. Turn them off when not needed. Optional private iCloud sync, sharing you initiate and Apple’s diagnostics are separate from this analysis. One More has no advertising SDK or third-party analytics.
Printing and devices
Can I print or show photos on a larger screen?
On iPhone and iPad, Settings → Beta offers optional, experimental AirPrint, Instax Link and automatic printing. All three are off by default. PDF print-sheet export is available independently of the AirPrint switch. Instax Link provides direct, manual Bluetooth printing to compatible printers. Check paper size and scaling; physical printer and Instax compatibility is not fully verified. External displays/AirPlay can show the audience view.
How do I enable automatic printing?
Automatic printing uses AirPrint, not Instax. Turn on both AirPrint and automatic printing in Settings → Beta, complete printer setup and confirm a test print, then enable automatic printing for the individual event. A print job already submitted may finish after automatic printing is turned off. Apple TV has no direct AirPrint, Instax or automatic-printing settings.
What data is sent when I print?
Printing is initiated by you, including automatic printing you enable for an event, and sends images and necessary print data to your selected printer. AirPrint uses system printing and the network; Instax uses Bluetooth and the relevant system permission. Device/printer names, technical identifiers and connection/print status are used locally; compatible Instax printers may also supply battery and film status. This is not a photo upload to a Torvi Studio server. A receiving printer or other service may retain data under its own rules.
Can I use an external camera?
External camera (beta) is optional and off by default in Settings → Beta on iPhone and iPad. It requires a compatible camera, adapter and system support. It is experimental; not every USB camera, DSLR or camera brand is supported.
Does One More support iPhone Duo?
Duo adaptation is included automatically in normal builds on compatible devices with iOS 27.1 or later; it has no beta switch. It adapts the booth layout when folded, with system-dependent camera handling and preview. Outer-screen preview depends on system availability and the camera situation; it is not available for the front camera, an external camera or result viewing. Support is not guaranteed for every combination, and physical camera switching and outer-screen behaviour are not fully hardware-verified. The app’s general minimum remains iOS/iPadOS 17.
Can I use another phone or Apple Watch as a remote?
Use the local remote shutter with compatible paired devices and allow local network access when requested. The Watch companion requires a compatible paired iPhone. Device support varies; not every Bluetooth button or accessory works. Remote control is local, not a cloud photo collection service or a public guest gallery.
Which devices and editions does this page cover?
This guide covers version 1.0.1, build 159, available on the App Store for iPhone/iPad with the Watch companion, and for Apple TV. iPhone and iPad require iOS/iPadOS 17 or later; the Watch companion requires watchOS 10 or later. The Beta menu is included in normal mobile TestFlight and App Store builds; the mobile printing and Save to Photos settings are not on Apple TV.
Party web sharing, a public guest gallery, guest download links and a Party subscription remain unavailable in public Release. No separate Torvi Studio account is required. See the privacy policy for data handling.
